Modulating Pain During Childbirth

Understand pain, make it useful — and learn to modulate it.

Managing the sensations of childbirth is probably the topic of greatest interest to expectant parents. The Bonapace Method uses non-pharmacological tools associated with significant reductions in labour pain; my hypnosis skills add further tools to soften strong sensations and maximise the chances of a satisfying birth.

This workshop gives you a clear understanding of what pain is, how it can be useful, and how to modulate it through effective, accessible mechanisms — to be done with your birth companion.

More comfort during pregnancy, more room for your baby, an easier birth.

Spinning Babies® offers a new perspective on the anatomy of pregnancy and labour: the baby’s position reflects the space available in the mother’s body. Using balance, gravity and movement, we “make room for the baby”.

Practical, accessible exercises to relieve discomfort, promote optimal positioning, provide solutions for long or irregular labours, and reduce the odds of unnecessary interventions — for pregnancy and for the delivery room.

Breech Baby Support

Helping your baby find the head-down position.

A protocol combining Spinning Babies® techniques, hypnosis and more, to encourage a breech or transverse baby to turn head-down — and to support you if you wish to give birth vaginally after a caesarean. Contact me directly to discuss your situation.

Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga

Yoga is not only postures and breath — it is a state of mind.

During pregnancy, prenatal yoga harmonises body and mind to live your pregnancy at your best and prepare for birth. After birth, postnatal yoga re-energises and re-centres, calms the nervous system and supports the organic recovery of the body that has given birth. Babies are welcome.
