Services and locations

Appointments can take place at your home, online, or at a welcoming practice location. Home visits are limited to Paris and its inner suburbs, within about 30 minutes of the head office; a supplement of 20–50 € applies beyond, depending on the exact address.

Practice locations: Question d’Allaitement, 9 rue Collette, Paris 17e (Métro Guy Môquet), and Le Regard du Cygne, Paris 20e. Full service details are given on the pricing page.

Packages and deposits

Customised support packages: a deposit of 20% of the package value is requested before the first appointment. The remainder is payable in up to 5 instalments before the end of the calendar year. An initial appointment may be offered at 70 € (in person) or 50 € (online), deducted from the chosen program.

Group classes and Rebozo rituals: full payment at booking, with a minimum deposit of 50 €. Gift vouchers are sent on receipt of payment and are valid for 9 months.

Birth attendance

Birth attendance (600 €, under contract) includes: a 20-day on-call period around the estimated due date, telephone availability day and night during that period, presence at the birth for up to 12 continuous hours, and two journeys by public transport. The doula’s presence at the birth is subject to the agreement of the maternity ward.

A 300 € deposit is due on signing to reserve the dates; the 300 € balance is due on the date of birth. Extra hours at the birth are charged at 90 € per 3-hour period; additional visits beyond the two included journeys at 60 €. The family remains free to decline attendance at the birth until the last minute — in that case a 3-hour postnatal appointment is offered instead.

Payment methods

Cheque, cash or bank transfer. Within the strict framework of personal-assistance services, payment via CESU may be possible — to be discussed according to the service.

Cancellation policy

Cancellations must be made at least 48 working hours before the appointment. Appointments cancelled late are billed at 50%; missed appointments without notice are billed in full. In the event of compelling circumstances, please contact me.

The doula undertakes to honour her appointments, except when attending a birth, which may cause a last-minute cancellation; in that case the appointment is rescheduled in the following weeks by mutual agreement. For Rebozo rituals with a second practitioner, an alternative is always proposed at the agreed rate.

About the doula profession

The doula’s services are strictly non-medical. The support offered respects the monopolies of the professions regulated by the public health code, in particular midwives and doctors. The doula makes no diagnoses or prescriptions, does not take part in medical decisions, and is not competent to judge when a woman should go to the maternity ward — parents must follow the advice of their midwife, doctor or maternity hospital.

Doula support is not a substitute for the recommended medical monitoring of pregnancy and birth, which must be carried out by competent health professionals. The doula may decline to be present if the parents decide against any medical supervision.
